Job Description

As a Digital Technology Specialist, you will be responsible for winning technical decisions from customers to purchase and use Microsoft technology and cloud services.

This role is part of the SMC and Digital Sales organization, which is on pace to be Microsoft's next $100 billion-dollar business.

You will work with a virtual team of technical, partner, and consulting resources to educate customers at a technical level, demonstrate, and prove Microsoft solutions.

This opportunity will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based technologies.

You will be responsible for owning technical discussions with customers, driving technical assessments, and building technology strategies.

You will work with customers, account teams, and partners to orchestrate technology roadmaps for implementation.

You will be an Azure platform evangelist for App Dev, App Service, Git Hub, and VS Studio platform scenarios.

You will design solutions using your technical knowledge, architectural approach, consultancy skills, and our methodology to win customer technical decisions.

You will ensure technical decision makers agree with proposed architecture and on the migration plan.

You will drive POCs and MVPs, and be the voice of the customer to share insights and best practices.

You will scale through partner facilitating and managing partner resources and processes for Pilot/POC/MVP.

You will identify new opportunities within customer engagement and hand them off to the Solution Specialist for pursuit.

You will maintain and grow expertise in cloud migration, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights.

You will collaborate and share with the technical community.

**Requirements:**

  • Relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms
  • Technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures
  • Experience with cloud native app hosting through software design, development, deployment, and app refactoring/migrations
  • Experience with scalable architectures using Azure App Service, API management, serverless technologies, container orchestration, API management, microservice frameworks, SDKs, etc.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Fluent German or Italian
  • Experience with cloud and hybrid, or on-premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management
  • Certification in relevant (Microsoft or industry) technologies or disciplines
  • Software development practices like Dev Ops and CI/CD tool chains
  • Understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs
