2097164Job Description:Director, ArchitectureWe build incredible products in the Workplace Investing business at Fidelity Investments to help people plan for financial success. One of those ways is by enabling folks to invest in Employee Stock Purchase Plans. We are investing heavily in building automations, simplifying processes, and modernizing platforms to offer seamless experiences to our customers in making such critical life decisions.We have multiple product teams building to simplify experiences, integrate with enterprise platforms and streamline access to data. We are looking for an Architect to help our Employee Stock Purchase Plan product area take their solutions to the next level.You will provide leadership through structured discovery and problem analysis, data-driven decision making, adoption of standards, collaboration with key partners and evaluations and recommendations of solutions.The Expertise We’re Looking ForProven experience in partnering with business leaders to shape product strategy, roadmap, and implementation approaches.Proven track record in analyzing business direction and problems, understanding long term vision and risk in developing strategic technical solutions.Proven track record in producing technical architecture and related artifacts as well as building consensus with peer architects and technology partners to support implementation.Proven track record in delivering integration architectures which connect multiple systems to deliver business outcomes, especially with enterprise partners.Demonstrate knowledge of APIs, microservices architecture, infrastructure, data architecture, security and new technologies with clear expertise in one or more of these areas.Solid understanding in all aspects of technical architecture (operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization).Collaborating with peer & enterprise architects to align on standards, strategy, and opportunities to refactor business processes, improve customer experience or perform capability rationalization.Ability to work both independently and with different levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members.Experience in Azure, Integration Patterns (APIs, Messaging, Events) and OAuth.Experience in building recordkeeping platforms or other such sophisticated architectures.The Skills You BringComfortable partnering with business leaders to formulate strategies and roadmap.Strong presentation, documentation, communication and influencing skills for working with less-technical business partners, senior leaders as well as technologists in IT leadership and implementation teams.Ability to provide technical leadership and solutions to agile teams.Critical problem solving and advanced troubleshooting to drive resolution to technical issues.Experience in networking across business units and outside the companies to optimize new reusable processes, patterns, and practices with outstanding results.Willingness to experiment, innovate and seek resources to learn, grow and find solutions.Financial industry experience is a plus.Employee Stock Purchase Plan and/or Equity Compensation experience is a plus.The Value You DeliverEnabling the delivery of market leading products and capabilities.Representing WI and the needs of this product area with vendors, external partners, enterprise technology and other business units.Providing architecture solutions for multiple agile teams. You will work closely with business partners and technology teams to understand business objectives and help define appropriate architecture direction for them. By working closely with Solution Architects and Agile teams, you will assess and ensure how proposed solutions to specific initiatives align with broader WI goals and strategies.At Fidelity, our goal is for most people to work flexibly in a way that balances both personal and business needs with time onsite and offsite through what we’re calling “Dynamic Working”. Most associates will have a hybrid schedule with a requirement to work onsite at a Fidelity work location for at least one week, all business days, every four weeks.
