Job DescriptionReporting to Executive Director, the purpose of the job is to liaise with investment managers, vendors, and auditors for day-to-day operational issues and to oversee the preparation or co-ordinate and review all client financial reporting deliverables and associated reports as required. Lead and motivate senior team members across both teams. Attend pitches to potential new clients, due diligence meetings, board/client meetings as required. Build and maintain a strong relationship with clients, vendors, and audit firms and function as the internal touchpoint for the department. Continue to support the team ensuring they can conduct the core roles of the team, including the creation and preparation of financial statements workings/reports. Continue to develop a greater understanding of the financial reporting environment and assist in the creation of service offerings for our clients. Trusted with the development of the department and documenting new department processes. Develop and improve financial reporting processes and procedures. As a key senior leader in the Operations department, partnering with colleagues to deliver and create high-quality outputs and insights which add value to the wider business. Responsible for ensuring all fees are billed on time and collected in a timely manner. Ensure all processes are performed in accordance with operational procedures and controls and all relevant checklists are completed. Manage the performance review process of the team. Monitor and manage the reporting deadlines for the services/clients that you and your staff are accountable for. Co-ordinate department resource planning and staff allocation. Play a key role in determining and driving the financial reporting team vision and strategy and implementing the actions necessary to deliver them. Engaged to provide analysis of potential new clients/workload/turnover/headcount requirements etc. Responsible for vendors and outsourced providers that provide financial statement preparation services to the company.CF ResponsibilitiesCF2 – Ensuring, controlling, or monitoring compliance by a regulated financial service provider with its relevant obligations.QualificationsPost-secondary education with a concentration in finance, accounting, mathematics, or related fields.
