Reporting to the Managing Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the business delivery of services to our clients accurately and on a timely basis.
The Director will manage the team and put in place internal company procedures and controls to ensure delivery of a quality product.
The Director will liaise with other departments, including Risk, Compliance and Legal in order to meet all objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, organise and resource the teams to ensure client engagement requirements are met.
Draft and implement procedures to meet professional standards.
Work with team leaders to ensure that:
Detailed review of management accounts for clients are undertaken before issue.
Teams deliver timely and accurate monthly/quarterly management and statutory financial information.
Provision of financial information to Clients and Customers.
Filing of Corporation tax, VAT returns and other obligations adhere to strict filing deadlines.
Preparation and filing of regulatory reporting.
Ensure accuracy in NAV and Waterfall calculations.
Manage a portfolio of asset backed and private credit clients engaging in ongoing capital markets transactions and supervising the management of such transactions through their full life cycles, including liaising with Investment Managers, legal and tax advisors and IPAs/ICSDs.
Support the delivery of Financial Planning and Analysis, assisting with the provision of high-quality management information, and contributing to the forecasting and budgeting processes.
Preparation of projections for monthly cash planning and requirements.
Implement improvements in the accounting process to ensure it is robust, controlled and efficient.
Continuously seeking to improve and develop the accounting processes to reduce reporting lead times.
Working with colleagues across the Waystone Group, ensuring effective collaboration, communication and development of solutions.
Build and maintain excellent relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders.
Assist in ad-hoc and project requirements as required by the Board of Directors.
Coaching, mentoring and empowering members of Finance Team.
Identify opportunities for business growth.
Act as a Director of client companies as and when required.

REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Experience in Corporate Services with an emphasis on Capital Markets.
Have strong technical accounting skills including Tax and Financial Reporting.
Previous use of an accounts package such as Sage would be desirable.
Very organised with excellent attention to detail.
A quick learner who can work at speed in a fast-paced environment.
Sound background in English & Mathematics as figure work and accuracy is essential, along with client correspondence.
Trustworthy with an understanding of the need for confidentiality.
A high level of customer focus towards both internal and external customers.
Team player and self-starter, able to use initiative, work unsupervised and produce high-quality output.

Education:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
University degree in accounting or business.

Experience:

7+ years in a similar Finance Role.
Experience in the Financial Services Industry would be beneficial.
