At Linesight, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams nurturing a strong social dynamic and a shared sense of achievement.As the UK Director - Cost Management, you will lead highly experienced teams and be responsible for managing all aspects of client development and oversight of large-scale data centre projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. For us, lasting trusted relationships are everything, both with our teams and our clients.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning and Development:Use your client relationship and business development skills to engage new clients as well as repeat projects with existing clients through partnership and trust.Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with your team internally and the client senior management and stakeholders.Oversee comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.Be an advocate for elevating our project management capabilities through standardisation and automation across the project.Team Management:Lead, mentor, and manage project teams on continuous improvement techniques and standard methods for reporting results, including project managers, cost managers, engineers, schedulers, safety managers, and more.Assign tasks and responsibilities and ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members.Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Drive Company Standards uniformly regarding Project and Program Delivery by all project participants on all projects.Assist with the recruitment process for further expansion and growth.Budget and Cost Management:Oversee comprehensive project budgets.Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency and address any discrepancies.Stakeholder Management:Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.Maintain strong relationships and provide regular updates on project progress.Ensure client satisfaction at every stage of the project, ensuring that key actions are taken to resolve issues as required.We would love to hear from you if you:Have experience in data centre construction with higher levels of leadership and people management.Have a degree or comparable experience in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or another construction-related discipline.Are Chartered or a member of a registered construction affiliate board/society (SCSI/RICS).Have a passion for building a global team and developing and encouraging your employees through mentoring, coaching, and training on new techniques.Thrive on building strong relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun.Since 1974, we’ve been providing a construction consultancy service that keeps clients coming back.
