Job Description

Fota Wildlife Park is a not-for-profit organisation with an annual attendance of 450,000 visitors. The park is part of the Zoological Society of Ireland and aims to inspire people to understand and conserve biodiversity. The Director will lead the senior management team, overseeing operations, stakeholder relations and strategic goals. The role requires a proven leader with experience in the Zoo, Wildlife Park, Conservation and Animal Welfare sector. Key responsibilities include animal welfare, capital development, marketing, business development and stakeholder relations. The Director will be responsible for ensuring a positive employee culture and the performance, development and wellbeing of the team. The role is an exciting opportunity to lead a team and contribute to the park's commercial objectives and conservation ethos. The Director will report to the Board of Governors and be responsible for the park's long-term strategic goals.
