This is a senior leadership position in the Technology organisation reporting directly to the CTO. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Intelligence Analysts to drive the development and delivery of advanced data-driven products and solutions. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy, leveraging data assets to enhance business outcomes, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive innovation and enhance business outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Intelligence AnalystsSet clear objectives, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative and innovative work environmentEnsure the team's professional development and growthWork with the Product team to develop and execute a comprehensive data product strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectivesIdentify opportunities for leveraging data assets to create innovative data products and solutionsOversee the end-to-end development of data products, from ideation to deploymentCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineers, network engineers, to integrate data products into our offeringsEstablish and maintain data governance practices, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulationsImplement data quality measures and continuously improve data management processesDrive the development of data analytics capabilities to derive actionable insights from dataEnable data-driven decision-making across the organization by delivering meaningful business intelligence and dashboardsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirementsStay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data science and engineeringEvaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance our data science and engineering capabilitiesFoster a culture of continuous improvement and innovationRequirementsBasic Requirements and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related fieldProven track record of at least 12+ years in data-related roles, including data engineering, data science, or business intelligence, with at least 4 years in a leadership or management positionStrong background in data engineering principles, including data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousingProficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, as well as data manipulation and analysis libraries and frameworksKnowledge of big data technologies such as Snowflake, or NoSQL databasesExperience with machine learning, statistical modelling, and predictive analytics techniquesDemonstrated success in developing and deploying data-driven solutions that have a measurable impact on business outcomesExperience of working with multi-vendor, 3rd parties, and client teamsStrong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executivesStrong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actionsHigh attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneouslyPreferred Qualifications:Telecommunications experience, especially in connectivity a distinct advantageFamiliarity with cloud platforms and services such as Azure, or AWSBenefits25 days annual leave + 2 company daysHealth InsurancePension ContributionESOPTax saver schemeBike to work schemeSports and social activitiesGreat annual office outings (Summer BBQ, Christmas party, charity runs)Bits & Bobs days (Half day every quarter to get your Bits & Bobs done)Learning and Development OpportunitiesCubic Telecom is an equal opportunities employer and committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. #J-18808-Ljbffr
