**Director of Finance - Galway City** A senior financial leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial management of a medium-sized organisation providing services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead the finance team and be responsible for financial accounting, management accounting, and systems development * Prepare monthly/quarterly management accounts, annual budget, and facilitate internal and external audits * Ensure compliance with financial regulatory and compliance requirements * Develop and implement financial and accounting policies, procedures, and guidelines * Manage and develop the day-to-day operation of the organisation's ICT infrastructure * Convene and participate in meetings of the organisation's Finance Committee **Essential Criteria:** * Hold a recognised professional accountancy qualification * Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification financial management experience in a senior management role * Significant management experience in managing a large diverse team * Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel skills and Microsoft Office applications * Proven track record in data interrogation and reporting * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a complex and changing environment
