About the Role: As the Director of Finance, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the organisation's financial health. You will oversee the preparation of accounting records, accounts, and reports, ensuring that all statutory returns are completed accurately and on time. Your leadership will be essential in guiding and inspiring the finance team, fostering a collaborative and proactive approach throughout the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Chief Executive and senior management team to drive financial innovation and support the organisation's strategic goals. Financial Oversight: Ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial records, accounts, and statutory returns. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the organization in negotiations with funders and engage with key stakeholders to support development opportunities. Budget Management: Work with senior management to develop and monitor budgets, implement cost containment strategies, and review expenditures to ensure efficiency and value for money. About You: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with a professional accounting qualification and at least five years of senior management experience, preferably within the health or voluntary sectors. You should be adept at managing multiple projects, have a track record of strategic influence, and possess strong leadership skills.
