Job Description

We are looking for a Hospitality Systems experienced Director of Information Technology for the Doyle Collection, a carefully curated collection of eight Irish family-owned luxury and urban hotels located across the world. Knowledge of hotel systems is required. Purpose: To ensure all Doyle Collection technology capabilities are performing optimally and effectively support our business strategy. The candidate will be responsible for the successful execution of all technology enabled projects, products, and services. This includes understanding the detailed business functions as well as technology project design, implementation, hardware, software, cyber security, staffing, maintenance, network enhancement, and property support. This role interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff. Responsibilities: Understand company business needs and how technology improves Doyle's competitive advantageProvide IT project direction and leadershipServe as the subject matter expert to other internal departments in their selection and implementation of appropriate technology solutions including leading all hardware and software planning and execution for the organizationLead the business functions in automation and innovation projects in ways that obtain buy-in and resource commitmentsEnsure confidentiality, compliance, and reliability of all corporate, client, and customer data, proprietary systems, and intellectual propertyEnsure the team is focused on providing excellence in guest service in all areasAttract, develop and retain talent that can meet the operational needs of the company and that exhibit its core valuesExtensive understanding on regulatory, GDPR, PCI and other compliance related requirements and controls; creation and adherence of processes to align accordinglyCollaboration and extensive communication with property leadership team on enterprise and property projects as well as IT operationsEnsure all systems are monitored, functioning and patched accordinglyPlan and lead system audits of technologies implementedImplement disaster recovery, back-up procedures and information security and control structuresRecommend information technology strategies, policies and proceduresPrepare the annual budget, schedules, and expenditures; analyze variances, and initiate corrective action as neededWork with hotel leadership teams to develop three year rolling IT Capital Expenditure plansManage and negotiate third party vendor contracts and relationshipsReview and approve all contracts and purchasing agreements relating to technologiesEnsure projects are successfully implemented to optimize business performanceEnsure project progress, risks and issues are escalated for discussion to the appropriate stakeholders for resolutionCreate detailed work plans which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete technology projectsPrepare processes, policies, and standards related to the effective use of technology implemented to ensure continued quality of systems, data and business performance Requirements: Strong current working knowledge of systems architecture, system design, hardware, payment gateways, transactional website development, information management, help desk, security design, PCI compliance, networks, and reportingStrong current working knowledge of relevant hospitality related technologies, including integrated hospitality platforms, PMS, POS, booking engines, sales force automation, call centers, telecom, credit card payment processing, transactional websitesPrevious management experience (managed a team of at least 3 to 5 resources)Project management experience in successfully delivering complex technology solutions in the hospitality industryExperience developing relationships with and ensuring the appropriate participation of key client stakeholders and client executivesExperience in project lifecycles from business case development to final delivery, oversight of project teams as they gather functional and technical requirements, project timelines, status reports, issues/risks lists, and deployment The benefits of working with The Doyle Collection 28 days of holiday including public holidays; increasing to 33 with length of serviceTraining programmes dedicated to your personal and professional developmentFree meals on duty and all day tea and coffee for the caffeine loversDiscounted hotel rooms in the UK, Ireland and USA for you, your family and friends50% off food when dining with The Doyle CollectionGive back with CSR activitiesReward and recognition programmes (earn bonuses, restaurant meals, overnight stays and extra days off!)Save money with our Cycle to Work scheme and plan for your future with our pensionStaff summer parties, Christmas parties and team get togethersPlus more The Doyle Collection The Doyle Collection is a carefully curated collection of eight Irish family-owned luxury and urban hotels located centrally in London, Dublin, Washington DC, Cork and Bristol.
