Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is recruiting a Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team of 82 bed nursing home built with modern facilities and offering a wide range of Services in Co. Louth. As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee the nursing department and be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of nursing operations. You will lead and mentor a team of dedicated nursing professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. This is a leadership role that plays a pivotal part in shaping the future of our nursing services and fostering a culture of excellence. Requirements Minimum 3 Years of experience as registered nurse in the last 6 years in care of the older person. Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Post registration in management qualification (QQI Level 6 minimum). Post Graduate diploma in Gerontology is desirable. Working knowledge of HIQA standards, procedures, and guidelines. Excellent Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills. Sound decision making ability and results driven. To provide support, advice, and guidance to the Home by way of an on-call arrangement. To co-manage and support all departments including nursing, household, maintenance, and catering staff. Good appreciation of finance issues.
