Milford Care Centre, Limerick Serving the people of the Mid-West Milford Care Centre is a Section 38 organisation, working in partnership with the HSE Mid-West, and provides a comprehensive range of Specialist Palliative Care Services and Services for Older People across Counties Clare, Limerick, and North Tipperary. WE ARE INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF NURSING, THERAPIES & SOCIAL CARE - GRADE VIII Full time - Permanent Required Criteria Qualifications and/ or experience: Registered, or are eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division, and other divisions as relevant to the specific service, of the Register of Nurses and Midwives, as appropriate, maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) (Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais na hireann). Wide general nursing experience and proven leadership qualities. Experience/qualification in specialist palliative care and/or care of the older adult. A minimum of 5 years' senior management experience. Candidates must possess the requisite clinical, leadership, managerial and administrative knowledge, and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office. Excellent understanding of clinical governance, service planning, service provision and resource management. Robust understanding of HIQA standards and requirements. Successful track record of delivering change programmes. Excellent financial management experience. Excellent experience in the area of Education, Research and Practice Development. Eligibility to work in Ireland Desirable Qualifications and / or experience: Post graduate qualification in a relevant management /leadership discipline. Previous experience as Person Participating in Management (PPIM) but not essential. Employee and Industrial Relations exposure. Policy development and roll-out. Management of an ethnically diverse workforce. Talent management and succession planning.
