Principal Connections - executive search has been retained by a prominent public sector body in its search to appoint for the important post of Director of Property & Facilities. THE POSITION A key member of the Management Committee, the Director of Property & Facilities will lead a large team across multiple locations to ensure that relevant sites are safe, secure, well-maintained and presented to the public and staff to a high standard. The role is responsible for the management and direction of the facilities, health and safety and security, as well as the maintenance and development of the buildings and sites occupied by the organisation. In addition, the appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues in other departments and contribute to the strategic development and leadership of the organisation. THE REQUIREMENTS Suitably qualified candidates will have over five years' management experience gained in a multi-site environment. The successful candidate will have proven leadership and management skills coupled with a working knowledge of safety management principles, systems and standards. They will also demonstrate experience in budget management, project management and have a proven ability to partner with people at all levels. Experience of procurement and contract management, particularly in the public sector, would be advantageous.
