MHL Hotel Collection and Hilton Dublin Hilton Dublin in Charlemont Place, Dublin 2 are looking for a Director of Sales & Marketing to join their team. Main Purpose of the Job: The management and implementation of the Hotel Annual Sales and Marketing strategy for the Hilton Dublin Hotel. The Director of Sales and Marketing functions as the strategic leader and driver of hotel sales and has responsibility for achieving property revenue goals, & guest satisfaction. Leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the proactive sales and marketing function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales objectives. What will I be doing? Sales Growth Responsible for the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies for growth by: Develop, implement and monitor the annual Sales and Marketing plan for the hotel. Manage own portfolio of accounts in Corporate, MICE, Business groups, Airlines, Agent, Tour Operator, and Leisure segments in local, regional and global markets. Seeking out and secure new corporate and leisure business, in line with the Hotel’s budgetary requirements. To participate in and activate the agreed strategy in the annual RFP process in conjunction with the Cluster Revenue Manager to ensure maximum RFP acceptance. Seek to maximise all revenue opportunities from existing accounts through strategic planning and effective account management. Deliver budgeted room sales in key segments the DOSM has responsibility over: corporate/corporate group/consortia/conference in house/ad hoc tour series and tour series/Airline etc. Deliver budgeted M&E sales with focus on food and beverage sales along with yielding room hire rates. Delivery of Christmas party night / BBQ target cover and developing evening events with food and beverage opportunities. Assist with delivering budgeted Food and Beverage sales with specific focus on the restaurant & bar. Lead team to identify and develop new business from new accounts through strategic activities research, face to face calls, networking proactive campaigns, sales missions, trade shows etc, to target and convert new business and provide effective account management. Core focuses on corporate transient, MICE, Social Events, Local Corporate Relationships, MICE agents and airlines. Leverage the Hilton International brand and global account managers to exploit all existing and new business opportunities. Monitor and lead M&E Pipeline analysis identifying gaps vs budget, and actioning as appropriate with the M&E Team. Participating and supporting the offsite cluster Sales teams with customer visits, including face to face sales calls, site inspections and familiarization trips, networking events, workshops etc. Targeting of new Tour series and Ad Hoc leisure group business, in line with the hotel’s business objectives and in conjunction with the Cluster Revenue Manager. Completing regular SWOT analysis of competitor hotels identifying market threats, pressures and opportunities, ensuring sales activities reflect these, and advising senior management of this market information. Manage and undertake local, regional and national key account activities including trade shows, networking events, workshops, presentations and sales missions. Promote and represent the hotel professionally and effectively in the domestic and overseas markets through a range of B2B and B2C events including Hiltontradeshows and key account workshops and FAM trips. To design, implement, and monitor sales and marketing plans for all Food and Beverage and Meeting and Event outlets. Marketing and PR To promote the hotel’s brand identity in all markets by: Marketing Plan – to design and direct the implementation of online and offline marketing initiatives and activities to support the hotel revenue objectives, in all rooms and MICE segments, and in all outlets. Track return on investment vs KPI’s and amend activity to meet hotels budgetary objectives. Hotel website – strategy and management of the website function and directing the marketing team to manage the Hilton brand website content, e-marketing, SEO, and PPC strategy. Lead the management and planning of offline marketing & PR opportunities (self-generated in-house and agency) and projects, as per business requirements. PR: develop new products / packages / services to generate positive PR for the hotel, to support sales budgets. What are we looking for? Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
