Director, Product Management Sun Life Financial, Inc. Waterford, IrelandJob Description:The Chapter Leader will play a pivotal role in nurturing and enhancing the capabilities of the Digital Product Management team at Sun Life. In addition to resource management, you will lead initiatives to foster career growth, skill development, and continuous improvement within the product management function, ensuring alignment within our scaled agile operating model and organizational objectives. The ideal candidate is a product management practitioner who is experienced in, motivated by and passionate about developing people to be their best.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring candidates for various roles within the chapterPartner with product and agile delivery leaders to manage the deployment of chapter members into squadsCollaborate with PM leaders and coaches to develop and implement a comprehensive career development framework for product management professionals, encompassing skills assessment, training programs, mentorship opportunities, and career pathingEstablish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of career development initiatives and track progress over timeCollaborate with HR and senior leadership to identify talent gaps and succession planning strategies within the product management functionLead and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and coaching sessions to enhance technical, leadership, and soft skills of chapter membersPartner with cross-functional teams, including Agile Coaches, Agile Delivery, Experience Design and Engineering, to promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learningDrive initiatives to improve product management processes, tools, and methodologies, leveraging scaled agile methodologiesDirectly manages a mix of people managers and senior level individual contributors.Qualifications8+ years in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial roleBS degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, a related field or equivalent experienceProven track record of designing and implementing successful career development programs with a scaled agile environmentStrong understanding of agile principles, frameworks, and methodologies, such as SAFe, Scrum, or KanbanExceptional communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate individuals at all levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive organization change initiativesCertifications such as SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CPSO), or Certified Product Manager (CPM) are a plusGroup insurance or benefits technology experience is a plusJob Category: Product OwnerPosting End Date: 09/09/2024 #J-18808-Ljbffr
