Who are we looking for?
We are currently recruiting for a Director of Solution Delivery to join our Carne Product and Technology team. By joining our team, you will be pivotal to the delivery of technology and product solutions for clients. Reporting to the Managing Director for Product and Data Solutions, you will lead strategic projects, drive operational excellence and high performance, and enable the Carne team to do their best work.

As the lead of our Solution Delivery team, you will deliver business critical products and programmes of work for some of Carne's largest clients, being responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery while focusing on driving business value.

You will work with key internal stakeholders including Strategy, Product, Technology, Business Development, Operations and Risk to ensure our products and technology solutions are designed, optimised and delivered to meet the overall business vision and ultimately satisfy our customers' needs.

What are the minimum Requirements you need for the role?

  • At least 10 years experience working in Technology, Product, Financial Services and/or similar regulated industries, preferably at a time of scale & growth
  • Results oriented professional with demonstrable experience in delivering strategic programmes of work, using agile methodologies and managing cross functional teams
  • Experience in product development, product management, operational excellence, analytics and data driven frameworks is preferred
  • Strong experience in agile and scrum development methodologies
  • Domain knowledge of funds industry or related Financial Services knowledge is a distinct advantage
  • Experience of managing people and developing high performance teams
  • Professional Certification in Project Management and/or agile scrum disciplines is a distinct advantage

What is your role and your key responsibilities?
(1) Solution Delivery lead on key strategic initiatives, ensuring they move at pace and have impact by:
  • Leading Carne's Solution Delivery team, managing delivery end-to-end from initial scoping and planning activities through to execution
  • Partnering with teams across Product and Technology team and wider Carne group to drive execution on important strategic initiatives, while driving operational scale and efficiency
  • Developing and integrating product and technology delivery roadmaps that align to business risk and value and that optimise the utilisation of resources, through interaction with product managers and key business stakeholders
  • Managing the intake process for the Product and Technology function, ensuring new asks are captured, prioritised and align with the company's objectives
  • Allocating, mentoring, and coaching Agile Delivery Managers and Business Analysts within your team
  • Managing, controlling and measuring initiatives against assigned budget, resourcing and schedule
  • Ability to report and communicate effectively on progress against detailed project plans, including leading critical issues, risks and dependencies, reporting any variances in budget and schedule as early as possible
  • Building strong client and stakeholder relationships and maintaining effective communication channels to drive actions and deliverables, ensuring critical decisions are escalated promptly in order to maintain progress
  • Operating as a trusted business advisor for our clients in the delivery of complex technical projects, ensuring difficult challenges are navigated with dexterity but safely in order to achieve the optimum outcome
  • Assisting with the definition of the post-implementation support and operating model and ensuring a smooth transition into BAU for each product as it is deployed.
(2) Enable the Product and Technology organisation to work effectively by:
  • Championing best in class operational processes, tooling, and documentation ensuring they are fit for purpose and embedded within the organisation to achieve overall department and company goals
  • Communicating clear priorities, activities and desired outcomes and ensuring fit for purpose governance, prioritisation and decision making is in place
  • Development of objectives for your team and regular reporting of same to monitor your team's overall performance and to ensure tracking against achieve desired outcomes
  • Being an effective leader, who can mentor and nurture your team in an open and high performing environment where team members can thrive
  • Using your unique perspective and experiences to help us think creatively about how to approach many of our biggest challenges and opportunities
  • Upholding Carne's key cultural and operating principles
