Job Description

Part-time Diving Coach 6hrs+

Job Purpose:

The Assistant Diving Coachwilldeliverahighstandardofteachingandcoachingtomeettheneedsof the academy& squadprogrammeatthe Sport Ireland Facilities in the National Aquatics Centre, in a safe and welcoming environment.


Responsibilities:
Continuouslyimprovethestandardof diving ofchildren,teensandadultsinthedivingprogram.


Under the supervision of the Senior diving coach & Level 2 diving coaches, the assistant diving coach will deliver sessions to athletes in the Sport Ireland Campusprogramme.

Teachacademychildrenthebasicskillsofdivingandkeepprogressoftheirdevelopment through Course Pro.


Prepare squad divers for relevant club competitions throughout theyear Deliver sessions on camps and other campus events to a highstandard Todeliverhighqualitycoachingsessionswithinthe Diving Programmeatthe National Aquatic Centre and National Dryland Diving Training Centre.

Followrecognizeddivingtechniquesandstrategiesasoutlinedby Swim Ireland.

The Assistant Diving Coachwillwork toprovideanaccessiblerouteintodivingforallagesandabilities.

Dealwithparticipants,parentsandfellowworkcolleaguesprofessionally Respectallindividuals.

Maintain clear and accurate records of attendance and progress for a range of participants.

Communicate information to participants and parents.

Set up and take down a range of diving equipment.

Continuously improve your knowledge and skills to ensure the quality remains up to-date.

Attend workshops delivered other coaches in Ireland and/or outside of Ireland.
