KNOW THE ROLE To manage own buy and concession teams effectively in all areas including team dynamics & morale, performance management and development, coaching etc. To manage the performance of all new starters and their buddies, ensuring they are fully supported to deliver within your departments. Seek to continuously raise the benchmark and improve standards through ongoing development, coaching and performance management of the team. To monitor department sales (own bought and concession), identify opportunities and risks and take action to maximise sales. To review concession businesses, set improvement targets and deal with any issues. To motivate the team to exceed sales targets, by developing skills in product knowledge, link selling, after sales service and awareness of other services within Brown Thomas. To proactively give feedback to Department Managers on trends and customer feedback and provide recommendations for improvement. To forward plan for deliveries, events and new season. To conduct price checks and comparison shops, and analyse the information to make improvements. To ensure the team is trained specifically in product knowledge. Lead relevant Operation Teams (Stockroom, Cash Office and Administration) to drive the business forward through responsive and innovative processes and structures. Accountable for the leadership of the online fulfilment team, planning, team management and adherence to overall KPIs. Project management and test new operational processes to maximise productivity & KPIs for in-store fulfilment against a backdrop of rapidly increasing scale. Minimise customer abandonment through development of clearly documented processes and systems communicated to all stakeholders. Driving efficiencies in the operation of stockroom services and standards to the store and online retail teams. Championing change and innovation to ensure the best possible models of team, service, environment and profitability. KNOW WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR An absolute passion for the fashion industry and understanding of planning in luxury retail. Strong coaching skills with the ability to enhance individual and team-based performance in a retail environment. Strong analytical and numeracy skills with an ability to simplify complex reporting when communicating outside immediate team. Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills. Service orientated with the ability to work to tight deadlines. Highly organised and able to manage more than one project at a time. An innovative thinker who has their finger on the pulse of retail best practice, always looking for the next opportunity to enhance the reputation and distinctiveness of our brand.
