Role: Document Controller

Key Responsibilities Of The Role:

  • Responsibility for items listed below, ensuring they are implemented through the delegation of tasks to his/her team of Doc controllers and administrators.
  • Continuous review and improvement of the Document control systems, procedures.
  • Continuous review and implementation of current digital technology in use.
  • Ensuring the timely distribution of documents & drawings to project personnel.
  • Working in accordance with company procedures & guidelines in a positive, helpful manner.
  • Download and distribution of all transmittals to Project Team.
  • Using document management software, for example EIDA Construction Software, to track and safely store documents.
  • Converting hard copy (paper) documentation to electronic format, using Adobe Acrobat DC, ensuring legibility and security.
  • Maintenance of various registers and associated documentation.
  • Developing and maintaining filing systems.
  • General Administration including typing, printing, etc.
  • Maintain Material Certification Database on Company Server.
  • Assist Quality Manager with Project Handover Documentation to Client.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and be flexible in your approach to work.
  • Communicating with Production Director, Project Controls and Procurement Lead and/or Project Managers as reliable point of contact for project document process.

Essential Criteria For The Role:

  • Strong administration experience.
  • PC literate with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to manage and process large volumes of project drawings & documentation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure while also maintaining focus.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Pride in the quality and presentation of work.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable with learning new client-specific software.
  • Ability to use your initiative.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in the construction or engineering industry is an advantage but not essential.
  • EIDA Construction Software experience is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
