Role Summary

The Domestic Sales Agent will be responsible for selling Certa Ireland's Domestic Fuels to new and existing Domestic Customers throughout Ireland. In conjunction with the operations team, the agent will ensure customers receive a first class on time delivery service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for selling Certa Home Heating Oil to new and existing Domestic customers.
  • Negotiate with the customer to get the best possible price to close the sale.
  • Development and retention of new and existing customers.
  • Conduct outbounding campaigns to retain business and to increase marketing permissions.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service, providing "first call resolution" at every opportunity.
  • In conjunction with the Certa operations team, the agent will ensure customers receive a first class on time delivery service.
  • Cross sell additional energy products to Domestic Customers – eg. Solar.

Key Skills and Attributes

  • 1 year's sales experience in a fast paced service industry, ideally a call centre environment but not essential.
  • Experience and ability to work under pressure while meeting targets set and ensuring attention to detail is maintained.
  • Strong negotiation skills to achieve optimum results for the company.
  • Fluent in English both written and oral.
  • Proficient with MS Office including exceptional Excel Skills.
  • Experience in oil industry is desirable but not essential.

Hours of Work

Your normal working week is 5 days per week from Monday to Friday. The normal working hours are in accordance with the Call Centre shifts, 8am to 4:30pm/ 9am to 5:30pm, 9:30am to 6pm. The Call Centre rotates these shifts and you will be informed by your manager weekly in advance of the hours of work and days of the week on which you are required to work. In addition to the standard 5 day week you will also be required to work one to two Saturdays per month from 9am to 1pm. If you are unable to take the appropriate breaks/ rest periods you should inform your Manager or a representative of the HR department immediately.

Location: We have offices in Portlaoise and Bray, Co. Wicklow.
