Job Description

Reporting to the Data Protection Officer, the DPO Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery and implementation of data protection services across Uisce Éireann. This role will assume responsibility for supporting the protection of customer and all other personal data in line with Irish and European Regulations. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct risk assessments of projects for Data Protection (DP) and privacy risk. Provide support to the business in relation to conducting Data Privacy Impact assessments or other appropriate assessments. Advise the business on approach to data transfers and other DP standards. Ensure data processing agreements are in place with third parties handling personal data. Support the actioning of Data Subject Requests. Support the investigation of DP related complaints and enquiries, including Data Breaches. Maintain the DP Risk Register. Monitor and report on the execution of DP compliance across the organisation. Actively participate in appropriate data governance groups. Prepare monthly DP KPIs and Metrics. Co-ordinate Uisce Éireann Data Stewards activities. Other administrative activities associated with the operation of the Office of the Data Protection Officer. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Previous data protection experience/recognised data protection or legal qualification or equivalent is highly desirable. Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable. Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally. Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion along with the ability to communicate information to others. Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results. Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions. Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements.
