Job Description
AbbVie seeks a Drug Product Engineering Manager to oversee maintenance and development of manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
About the Role
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize plant output
- Collaborate with contract maintenance providers and production personnel to ensure equipment performance
- Support equipment development and upgrade initiatives to drive continuous improvement
- Establish and track engineering metrics to inform management decisions
- Manage budgets and capital expenditures to ensure efficient resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Supervise external contractors and manage plant projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant discipline
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience, including 2 years as an Engineering Supervisor
- Prior experience in an Oral Solid Dosing pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, particularly within the Engineering Department
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
