Duty Manager at Hilton Dublin We have an exciting opportunity available for the right person who wants to start their career in the hospitality industry as a Duty Manager supporting the Heads of Department in managing all aspects of the operational running of the hotel. This is an ideal role for any candidate wishes to gain a more in-depth knowledge of the day to day running of the hotel working closely with the Front Office Manager, Food and Beverage Manager and Hotel Manager and gaining invaluable experience in relationship building, negotiating skills, problem solving, guest satisfaction etc. Who are we? Key Accountabilities: Assist HOD's with management of the property Deal with all guest and operational queries in a professional and efficient manner Ensure consistent delivery of standards Ensuring delivery of exceptional guest service from each department at all times Proactively plan to ensure each department is prepared for service based on awareness of business in the hotel Maximize sales and profitability through creating an environment where staff are selling and up selling, using incentives and promotions etc. The ideal candidate should have: Excellent customer care skills Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills Presentation must be exceptional at all times At least 1 years management or supervisory experience in a similar size hotel Hands on and can do approach to work and very strong work ethic A working knowledge of Opera and Micros will be a distinct advantage Flexible to work evening and weekend shifts Ability to develop a good rapport with clients and represent the hotel in a professional manner It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: Previous experience in hotel industry Previous experience in supervising and/or delegation Willingness to develop team members and self What will it be like to work for Hilton?
