Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Location: Little Mochtas Job Type: (Full-time/Part-time) Overview: Little Mochtas is seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator to assist in providing high-quality full-time day care in a holistic setting for children. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Room Leader and other staff to ensure the well-being, safety, and development of children in the creche. Key Responsibilities: Work with children of various ages, ranging from babies to afterschool children, ensuring a nurturing and supportive environment. Perform a variety of caregiving tasks, such as nappy changing, toileting, sterilising, feeding, nap supervision, and engaging children in play. Conduct observations of childrens development under the direction of the Room Leader to track progress and ensure individual needs are met. Follow all service policies and procedures at all times to maintain a high standard of care. Clean, tidy, and store equipment and toys after use to ensure a hygienic and safe environment for children. Coordinate and implement age-appropriate activities that promote the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development of the children. Maintain the room and equipment to ensure the health and safety of the children is always prioritised. Ensure a good standard of hygiene is maintained in all aspects of care and play. Organise materials and toys to foster an engaging and stimulating environment for children. Support childrens development through planned activities and free play. Attend meetings and participate in any required training or professional development opportunities. Be aware of child protection procedures and promptly report any concerns about a childs welfare to the manager. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding any information concerning children or their families; any breach will be considered gross misconduct. Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as assigned by the Room Leader or management. Person Specifications: Qualifications: Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Childcare; FETAC Level 5 in Occupational First Aid is an advantage. Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Compassionate: Kindness, warmth, and responsiveness to the needs of children. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, staff, and parents.
