We have a rare and amazing opportunity to hire anEarly Years General Managerto lead our excellent team at Parkside Childcare! We are one of South Dublin's most established childcare facilities, operating over 30 years! We are looking for the right candidate to join our management team. Youmusthave a minimum of Level 7 Early Years Education qualification recognised by DCEDIY. You must have at least 10 years childcare management experience, demonstrating strong leadership, problem solving, budgeting, sales and occupancy, compliance, staffing and excellent communication and IT skills. Duties & Responsibilities of General Manager : Named "Person In Charge" as part of Parkside Childcare's Tusla Registration understanding and adhering to the legal framework of such a position. Liaise with the "Registered Provider" and report to the Board of Directors. Lead the existing management team and support them to perform their roles. Work with and manage Systems, HR, Admin and Finance teams and the roles within each area of the business. Be fully responsible for Compliance with CHILD CARE ACT 1991 (EARLY YEARS SERVICES) REGULATIONS 2016 Has proven ability in developing and delivering guidance on Early Years policies, procedures, and standards. Responsible for day to day operations of the service. Requirements from Candidates : MinimumQQI Level 7 inEarly Years Education. A minimum of 15 years in the childcare sector and at least 7 in management A minimum of 5 years in the Irish Early Years sector Excellent leadership skills Excellent communication skills Excellent organisational skills Demonstrable success in staff retention, staff development and training Preparing and adhering to monthly budgets Manage Core Funding liaising with Registered Provider Preparing performance reports given to Board of Directors on a monthly basis The successful candidate will be highly organised with an ability to work as part of a cross functional team. Excellent attention to detail and an ability to manage the running of the service and staff as well as the ability to implement quality Early Childhood curriculum and creative skills to develop age appropriate activities will be of the utmost importance in this position. Full knowledge of Preschool Regulations 2016 and requirements of maintaining fully compliant Preschool Inspections with Tusla. You must also have: Ability to commute easily to Rathfarnham Clear Garda Vetting (and International police clearance if having lived outside of Ireland for more than6 months)is required. Two written references, one from your most recent employer, that will be verified. Available to work between operating hours 7:30am - 6:30pm Candidates should take into consideration travel and commute toSouth County Dublin.
