We invite you to bring your passion for environmental management, improvement and knowledge of industrial processes into play as you work with a multi-national client in Dublin to develop and implement an environmental management system and drive improvement.This is a 6-month contract starting in November. Candidates will be based at the client site in Dublin 3-5 days per week.To succeed in this role, you must understand the requirements for successful implementation of environmental management systems, the environmental risks presented by business and industry operations and the regulations applied across Ireland to control these. You should have experience of working within an Environmental Consultancy or equivalent industrial experience. Knowledge of Health and Safety is advantageous.You will join our Compliance, Sustainability and Transactions Team working in our Permitting, Management Systems and Compliance department.As our new Environmental, Health and Safety Consultant, you will be part of a friendly and fast-growing team providing environmental, health and safety compliance and permitting support to national and multi-national clients. The role is a short-term contract (6 months) to support a project which involves designing and implementing an environmental management system for a multinational company in Dublin. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with Ramboll European colleagues in the design and development of the environmental management system, work onsite to successfully implement the EMS in conjunction with the site management team.Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:Review of existing Environmental and Energy Management System documentation and local operational processes.Collaborate with European teams to develop an environmental management system in line with ISO14001:2015 requirements.Develop a context analysis including PESTLE analysis, risks and opportunities analysis and stakeholder list for the facility.Facilitate an environmental review to identify environmental aspects and impacts of operations and develop an environmental aspect and impacts register.Develop compliance obligations register detailing applicable regulations and standards in environmental compliance, and effectively communicate these to the site team.Support the site in the development and implementation of environmental operating procedures.Coordinate and facilitate environmental training for site management teams during the environmental management system implementation.Prepare and conduct internal environmental audits to validate the effectiveness of implemented processes and procedures.Produce high-quality reports which meet the client and environmental regulator’s requirements.Provide expert advice and guidance to site management teams.Pro-actively ensure that project deliverables are met within budget.Your starting point for constant growthFor this role, we believe your starting point is:Demonstrable experience in environmental consultancy (or similar level of experience with environmental, health and safety regulations i.e. equivalent industrial experience).Understanding of the environmental, health and safety regulatory regime applied across Ireland and experience of auditing and compliance assessment processes.Good working knowledge of ISO14001:2015 environmental management system requirements and demonstrable experience of implementing environmental management systems.A high level of resilience with a passion to drive and embed environmental management systems.Awareness of the environmental marketplace and a passion to further understand sustainable environmental business practices.Proficient in identifying environmental, health and safety risks and liabilities.Excellent communication and relationship skills.Strong interpersonal skills combined with excellent planning, organisation, collaborative and influencing capability.Able to work at the Dublin client site 3-5 days per week.Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:Desire to learn and strengthen existing knowledge.Willingness to take on this new challenge.Dependable, self-aware and a good communicator.Conscientious and ability to respond to challenges creatively.How to applyApply online.
