Job Description
Health and Safety Manager needed to implement highest H&S standards across site while promoting continuous improvement and best practice. Key Responsibilities: • Engage and influence colleagues to deliver H&S compliance and drive continuous improvement in H&S performance • Document risk profile of site through risk assessments and create/implement action plans to reduce risk • Develop and maintain practical and effective H&S policies and procedures • Conduct regular reviews of policies and procedures to ensure they are practical and fully aligned with business needs and relevant legislation • Increase Safety, Heath, Environmental and Quality awareness amongst all teams • Collaborate with peers and management from other areas of the Group to shape H&S agenda and foster a culture of engagement, ownership and continuous improvement • Assess workplace hazards and formulate preventative measures together with management • Conduct regular site inspections and organise regular random safety inspection audits of all areas Desired Competencies: • Highly organized individual with excellent attention to detail and great accuracy • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and effectively time-manage • Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Ability to deliver training and presentations to groups • Embodies safety first culture with a commitment to continuous improvement • A can do work ethic with an ability to work on their own initiative • Passion, energy, a strong work ethic and a commitment to travelling Desired Qualifications and Experience: • BSc (hons) Occupational H&S/NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent • Minimum of 5 years Health & Safety experience with at least 3 years manufacturing experience • Knowledge of BS OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001 standards in a heavy production environment • Excellent report writing and numerical skills with proficiency in MS Office • Full clean driving licence • Proficiency in the English language is a requirement as is eligibility to work in Ireland
