Seeking an EHS Officer to strengthen site environmental management program and implement innovative environmental support systems in line with ISO14001, with a focus on environmental element.
Azon Recruitment Group is partnering with an independent Irish-owned manufacturing company to recruit for an EHS Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance and management of the EHS Management system, working alongside the EHS Manager and H&S Officer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage Industrial Emissions License (IEL) and complete and/or co-ordinate monitoring and report programs as per IEL - noise, water, air, soil, nuisance smells key areas of focus.
- Develop, implement and revise EHS Standard Operational Procedures.
- Develop environmental training program in line with company needs.
- Complete and communicate Risk Assessments (chemical agent risk assessments, ergonomics, general task-based, environment assessments).
- Develop and deliver audits on EHS Site Compliance.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Level 8 Degree/Higher Diploma in Occupational Safety Health and Welfare and/or Degree/Higher Diploma in Environmental Science or equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a specific environmental role.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Health and Safety.
- Knowledge and experience is essential in IPPC/IEL License.
- Knowledge in EPA regulations and guidelines would be ideal.
