EHS Specialist sought for North Cork plant with a well-established and growing multi-national manufacturing company.

The company, with over 25 years of operation in Ireland and 140 staff across two Cork plants, requires an EHS Specialist to develop and implement programs ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

Job Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs compliant with relevant regulations.
• Manage regular safety audits and inspections to detect and mitigate risks.
• Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees.
• Manage facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
• Oversee janitorial and housekeeping services.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
• Develop and implement a waste management program.
• Manage facility budget for EHS and facilities related expenses.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest EHS and facility management best practices.

Requirements

• Qualified EHS specialist with a minimum of 3-4 years relevant experience in the manufacturing sector.
• Hold a relevant Third level qualification in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong ability to develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs.
• Experience with conducting safety audits and inspections.
