Job Description
As a member of the site EH&S team, this individual will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and advisor on health and safety matters for all Business Units and functions on site, supporting daily operations. The role involves assisting in the design, implementation, maintenance, and review of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, and industry standards. Work Type: 1 years contract Location: Ringaskiddy, Cork General Scope Of Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to all relevant company policies, standards, site procedures, and regulatory requirements. Support functions in incident and accident investigations. Provide EHS support for the management of change processes. Assist in the preparation, implementation, and review of EHS procedures and documents that align with site activities Offer technical support for the site risk assessment and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) program Collect and report EH&S metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Develop, support, and deliver EHS training programs. Conduct periodic walkdowns, audits, and program reviews to ensure compliance with safety and environmental permits, plans, policies, and regulatory requirements. Requirements: 3rd level degree in EHS, science or engineering or other related discipline At least 3 years experience in an EHS role in a regulatory environment Sound knowledge of EHS legislation Good written, oral communication & interpersonal skills Highly proactive, mature judgement and decision making ability Strong analytical and problem solving ability Self-directed & demonstrated efficient work methods, problem solving skills & ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment Proficient in use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel & Powerpoint Familiar with environmental management systems (ISO 14001) & health and safety management system (ISO 45001) Preferred Requirements: Green Belt certified Process safety qualification / experience Skills: EHS Pharma ISO
