Overall Role ObjectiveWe have an exciting opportunity for a EHS Systems Manager to join Suir Engineering and be based in either our Citywest or Waterford office. The EHS Systems Manager is primarily responsible for providing guidance and leadership in the successful development, implementation, continuous improvement and management of all Suir Engineering’s EHS Systems and Programmes.Here in Suir Engineering we are a leading international provider of innovative Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Solutions. We are also working continuously to promote a culture of positive wellbeing through our wellbeing programmes and supports to employees and their families through our Employee Assistance Programme and the Lighthouse Club.What you will be doingTake ownership of all EHS information in the Suir Engineering Integrated Management System, ensuring that all policies and procedures are effectively maintained.Design, implement and lead EHS improvements as per the EHS Department business plan and ensure they are effectively rolled out through the change management process and monitored.Assist in developing and progressing the Suir Safe Behaviourally Based Safety Programme.Participate in developing and implementing EHS modules and standards with other departments such as Sustainability, HR, Digital Team etc.Conduct EHS due diligence in each country to ensure we are legally compliant with local legislation.Assist the Regional EHS Managers with the development of project pre-mobilisation documentation such as project specific Management Plans.Is the job for meRelevant Health and Safety Qualification.2 – 5 years’ experience in an EHS Advisory role.Experience in developing EHS procedures and initiatives.Ability to work on own initiative, challenge and influence.Team player and able to build and maintain relationships.Competent with the use of MS Office software.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.In return from Suir Engineering23 days annual leaveCompany Pension contributions - no waiting periodsPaid Maternity and Paternity LeavePrivate Health Insurance contributionLife and Disability coverEAP for employees and their familiesEducational Assistance, CPD, Chartership supports and upskilling opportunitiesOpportunities for international assignments to work on one of our European projects in Sweden, Denmark, or Germany.Our way of workingOur way of working is called the Suir Way, designed to help us on a journey of continuous improvement.
