Electrical Design Engineer

Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring electrical technical compliance on all Business Unit projects
- Developing Design Delivery Schedules/Programmes with the client, project manager, design team, and consultants
- Coaching junior engineers on projects
- Attending design-related meetings and providing input to optimize design and minimize futile work
Other key tasks include:
- Procuring design from consultant design partners
- Liaising with consultants, clients, and third parties
- Reviewing completed designs for accuracy and precision
- Managing technical submittals and drawing approvals
- Developing comprehensive scope-of-work and contract document deliverables
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead an experienced design team to ensure delivery on schedule, closely track design deliverables, and implement recovery strategies when necessary. You will also participate in departmental strategic planning, assist with tenders for new projects, and attend site when requested.
The successful candidate will have a third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Design Engineering, experience with BIM 360, and excellent computer skills. They will also have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, pride in the quality and presentation of work, and excellent communication skills.
