About the job:As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will lead Data Centre projects in EMEA. It will be second nature to you to manage project delivery from conception all the way through to completion/client handover. Confidently managing and growing relations with accounts, your expertise will expand beyond just the electrical field, also including Mechanical, BMS/EPMS, Security, and CSA. Excelling at project design planning to meet client expectations, you will also manage a team of support engineers, mentoring them in their professional development. With that will come the responsibility of ensuring all deliverables from the team align with our quality assurance systems prior to handover.About you:Honours Degree – Chartered an advantage but not essential4+ years’ experience with data centre, industrial or high-tech engineering projectsUnderstand in detail CIBSE, BS, IS, and EN standardsWorking knowledge of Bluebeam, AutoCad and REVITKnowledge of other engineering analysis software is an advantageProficient in the use of Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent communication, presentation, and organisational skillsCapable of taking the lead on projects with minimal input from the management teamExperience leading and coordinating an engineering team, successfully delivering a projectCommunicative, with an ability to liaise with clients, architects, and project managersDrive for continuous innovation and adoption of emerging technologiesLead electrical services design on projects from concept stage to completionSpecification and design of electrical building services systemsContinuous design & installation quality checks and controlProvide fully detailed tender packages/tender reports/analysis/recommendationsDevelop project scope with design team/clientUphold the electrical design standards within the organisationMentoring of engineering staffBenefits:Flexible working times20 Days holidays up to 25 daysPension SchemeTravel tax scheme or bike-to-work schemeRegular training/mentoring/further college supportSupport for ChartershipA Professional Subscription Fee paid by the companyHeavily subsidised social committee (5 a side, golf society, climbing club and regular social events)At Ethos, we offer free Fridays every second Friday as a perk!
