Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Primary Electrical Engineer to support the Hitachi Energy Ireland Power Grids Grid Integration Business.
The role reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for electrical design works complying with Hitachi Energy and customer's standards, procedures, and policies.
Coordinate engineering assignments across several different projects within the entire value chain efficiently, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
Lead all design engineering activities of a project to assure cost-effective engineering execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during the start-up, construction and/or erection, commissioning, maintenance phases.
Your responsibilities: 1.
Contract management Supports Contract Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.).
Planning and control Creates work plans and cost estimates in own area of responsibility Reviews and approves scope, budget and schedule for assignments and ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost.
Supply chain management Collaborates with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed on with potential suppliers.
Technical leadership and knowledge sharing Represents function in standardization committees and in communication and conferences pertaining to broad aspects of engineering assignments.
