Electrical Engineer required for industrial projects, designing electrical services packages, specifications, and deliverables.
Job Description:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a multidiscipline team working on large and small industrial projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing electrical services packages in AutoCAD & Revit, under the direction of the principle electrical engineer.
- Developing specifications, scope of works documents, tender packs, cable calcs, wiring diagrams, schematics, loop sheets, and other electrical deliverables.
- Designing MV & LV electrical systems, including MCCs, distribution boards, cable systems, lighting, and emergency lighting.
- Participating in constructability and safety reviews.
- Designing Life Safety Systems, including Fire Alarm and security.
- Assisting in tender bid analysis process.
- Undertaking peer reviews as part of quality control process.
- Attending and participating in client and APM team meetings.
- Participating in project site visits to survey, monitor, review, and sign-off upon electrical installations.
Requirements:
Third Level Degree in Electrical Engineering:
- 5+ years of formal experience in industrial engineering design, with data centre experience preferable.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM/Revit.
- Familiarity with SKM (PTW) electrical design software.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering design services, including MV and LV power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting, and emergency lighting.
- Knowledge and experience of applicable electrical engineering codes and standards.
- Experience of developing electrical protection systems, electrical discrimination, short circuit studies, and arc-flash analysis reports.
- The ability to find alternate solutions, including value-engineering, and to implement new technologies.
