Job Description
Job Summary: Lead electrical engineer for key electrical site projects, providing technical design expertise and implementing quality and design standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide technical design expertise for all projects, covering high and low voltage equipment and control and protection systems.
- Implement specific site and company quality and design standards.
- Develop and review schematic drawings and single line diagrams.
- Specify, select, and procure equipment.
- Prepare and interpret technical specifications and enquiry documentation.
- Assist with technical and contract documentation.
- Monitor progress and issue progress reports.
- Communicate issues and risks.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Electrical engineering discipline.
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the power and renewables sector.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical engineering standards and industry best practices.
- Customer focused and strong communication and influencing skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Driven, accurate, and timely in producing results.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
