Job Description

A specialist contractor based in Ireland is currently seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to work on cutting-edge pharmaceutical construction projects in mainland Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that delivers critical infrastructure to support the health and well-being of millions. The Role: As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems for large-scale pharmaceutical construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations meet the stringent standards required in the pharmaceutical industry, including compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities: * Design, implement, and manage electrical systems and components for pharmaceutical construction projects. * Ensure all electrical work complies with EU regulations, industry standards, and GMP requirements. * Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget. * Conduct site inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure quality and safety. * Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team and clients. * Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as they arise during the construction phase. * Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress. Qualifications and Experience: * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is essential. * A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is desirable. * Professional certification such as Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) is highly advantageous. * Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Electrical Engineer, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech sector. * In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and power distribution, particularly in regulated environments. * Strong understanding of EU electrical regulations, health and safety standards, and GMP requirements. * Experience with CAD software and other electrical design tools. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. * Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional European languages is a plus. Requirements: * Candidates must have the right to work in the EU.
