Department: Site Development and EngineeringReference: VN992Electrical Engineering Graduate Programme 2025Based at our site in Ringaskiddy, Ireland, our Graduate Programme is a 23-month programme designed to develop, mentor and provide practical hands-on experience, and is designed with our core values in mind; Be Caring, Be Transparent, Be Willing and Be Reliable.During the programme (beginning September 2025) those who are successful will receive comprehensive on-boarding, training, development and mentoring.Located in the South West of Ireland, Sterling’s facility in Ringaskiddy is 11 miles outside of Cork city. Cork city sits on an island in the middle of river Lee, and is home to a variety of riverside walks, quirky museums, contemporary art, historic buildings, and even an 18th century food market. We support our customers through the full product lifecycle from pre-clinical development right up to full scale commercial manufacturing and today we are proud to have built a culture of excellence in science and unrivalled service.What can you expect?Understanding of all aspects of a pharmaceutical manufacturing site.Working with the Site Maintenance team to conduct activities which support the repair, replacement, installation and maintenance on new and existing equipment in a highly regulated GMP and safety environment to support production and utility activities.Working in various departments across the business with a rotation plan tailored to your skillset and development.Training on Sterling Pharma Solution’s Quality, Environmental & H&S requirements.Trained to interpret electrical, electronic systematic diagrams and technical drawing.Repair and calibration of control process system using modern calibration technologies.Working with a variety of specialised hand tools, power tools and equipment.Install various types of equipment, wiring and cabling systems.Work on machines and processes and support the maintenance team to analyse and repair system faults.Monitor equipment conditions using modern predictive maintenance techniques.Structured mentoring and coaching.Become a role model for our Sterling values and behaviours by becoming fully immersed into our culture from your first day.Expand your network through collaboration with other local and global teams.Develop your communication skills.Opportunity to develop personally and professionally through work that is challenging and hands-on.Exposure to business-critical projects in a fast-paced environment.Regular touchpoints with the Site Leadership team.What are we looking for?You must have already attained (within two years of the start date of the programme) or be on course to attain a Level 7 degree or above in an Electrical Engineering discipline-based degree and graduating in 2025.Good communication and organisational skills.Willingness to learn and grow.Must be a team player.Curious mindset.Self-starter.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Proficient with standard office software applications.Actively support the sports and social club and other committees.Eligible to work in Ireland (if you require a work permit or visa it must be in effect from September 2025 and remain valid for the duration of the programme).Must align to our company values; Be Transparent, Be Willing, Be Reliable and Be Caring.Why Consider Us?Our collaborative and empowering culture is unique to us and is what really sets us apart as a business and this is built upon our four core values: Be Transparent, Be Reliable, Be Willing and Be Caring.
