Job Description

Key Job ResponsibilitiesSAFETYFollow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture. As a facility owner team, ensure remediation of safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture.ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE- Operational experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS’s), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), and Transformers.- Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)- Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance- Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with health & safety regulations).- Ability to work shiftsAbout the TeamAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge of safe electrical practices according to guidelines set by relevant electrical safety supervisory bodies (e.g., ECSSAI and RECI in Ireland)- Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications- Professional Electrical Certification (National Craft Certificate (NCC), Registered Electrical Contractor (REC), or equivalent)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management or similar technical focus- Experience in data center engineering- Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls #J-18808-Ljbffr
