Job Description

Electrical Estimator Electrical Estimator required to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor across their Irish offices in the T&D Division. The successful candidate would be reporting into the Estimation Manager and would be supporting large scale Solar/ Wind Energy projects in Ireland and across Europe. Hybrid work options available. Duties: Prepare estimates by gathering take-offs based on the project scope and inputting data into estimating software, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Interpret and understand Electrical Technical Specifications and Employer Requirements for Design & Build HV substations and wind farms. Coordinate the tendering process across different departments, ensuring timely submission of tenders. Assist in preparing the Technical Submission, including inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, and work program details. Manage the quotation request process and review quotations to ensure they are comprehensive. Handle multiple projects simultaneously. Identify potential issues and challenges within projects, advising the bid team on associated risks and solutions. Follow up on submitted tenders and record any relevant feedback. Participate in post-tender meetings. After a successful bid, collaborate with the Construction Team to clearly communicate the estimate, scope of work, quotes, and other project details for a smooth handover. Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering or an Electrical Trade background. 3 Years+ experience as an Electrical Estimator. Experience with HV, MV, or LV systems is preferred. Experience in Solar/Wind Energy is desirable but not essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to set clear and appropriate goals. Focused on targets, with a strong drive and enthusiasm to consistently deliver quality work.
