Job Description
Experienced Electrical Estimator required to work on Commercial and Light Industrial Projects in Kildare, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager.
The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing tenders, conducting cost-saving measures, and negotiating prices with suppliers and sub-contractors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing tenders and cost reports
- Conducting periodic review of work practices to identify cost-saving measures
- Quantifying material, plant, and labour requirements for projects
- Analysing sub-contractor quotations and negotiating prices
- Issuing tender queries and preparing tender reports
- Creating procurement schedules and sourcing pre-project information
- Preparing detailed estimates and completing final handovers to project teams
Requirements:
- Relevant Electrical Qualification (minimum FETAC Level 6 Advanced/Higher Cert)
- 4-5 years experience working as an Electrical Estimator on M&E projects
- Experience working on projects in Ireland or the UK and eligibility to work in Ireland without a work permit
- Experience pricing large-scale jobs up to €2 Million
- Good communication skills and proven track record in taking tenders from pricing to final client award
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
