Job Description
Meade Farm Group, an award-winning Fresh Produce Company operating from their family farm in Co. Meath for the last four decades, is now recruiting for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preventative and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and installation of various types of equipment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct wiring, installation, and commissioning of plant equipment.
- Work on own initiative and from schematics and blueprints.
- Adhere to health and safety standards, including regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with equipment suppliers on new equipment installations and modifications.
- Perform electro-mechanical troubleshooting of processing & packaging equipment.
- Responsible for high-speed repairs of equipment.
- Maintain high-level performance across the production team and take appropriate action where faults occur.
- Participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies.
- Complete planned work, manage parts booked out of stores, and control breakdowns.
- Observe all onsite and legislative rules regarding Food Safety and Health & Safety.
- Flexible regarding working hours; the role will require call out on a rotational basis.
Qualifications/Experience
- Possess relevant trade qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Commercial and industrial experience is essential.
- Mechanical experience would be an advantage.
