We have a requirement for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our office design team to work on various upcoming key projects for Bio-Pharmaceutical, Mission Critical and Food Sector Clients. This is a hybrid role, connected to the Dublin office. Responsibilities Design and Co-Ordination of Electrical Systems by local, national, and international standards and current best industry practices. Provide technical support and assistance to Lead Electrical Engineers Work as Technical Team Lead for the Electrical Design Team on Projects Work as part of a multi-discipline team on projects Implementation of specific site and company quality & design Standards Chair design reviews both with the project team and the client Attend and participate in client and PM Group meetings Participate in project site visits to monitor, review, and sign-off electrical installation design Qualifications Third Level Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline (Advantageous but not essential) 8+ years of formal experience in industrial engineering design Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Professional approach and demeanor A strong ethical approach to safety, quality and sustainable design Knowledge of applicable electrical engineering codes, standards and current industry best practices Ability to Co-ordinate with the design team and external stakeholders Ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement new technologies and methods required to provide cost-effective solutions for our clients Demonstrable experience in the complete suite of electrical engineering design services. MV and LV Power Distribution UPS systems and Generators Earthing & Bonding Cable containment system design Lighting & Emergency Lighting System, General Power Systems Fire Alarm Systems Security Systems Lightning Protection Systems ICT systems A working knowledge of the following design applications is essential: AutoDesk Revit; AutoDesk Navisworks AutoDesk AutoCAD Amtech ProDesign Knowledge of the following design applications would be advantageous: SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL) ETAP - Electrical Modelling Software Caneco One - Electrical Engineering Software Suite If you do not match the above exactly but feel you fit the role, please apply anyway.
