**Electrical Utilities Shift Technician** We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious individual with mechanical or electrical background to join our team as an Electrical Utilities Shift Technician. **Job Description:** Veolia is Ireland's leading environmental services company, providing a comprehensive range of energy, waste, and water solutions. We work with our customers to carefully manage scarce resources, reducing the environmental impact of their activities while helping them operate in a more efficient manner. **Key Responsibilities:** * Ensure all utilities equipment is available at all times and respond to alarms and deviations in a timely manner * Perform first-line and scheduled maintenance for utilities equipment * Liaise with subcontractors during planned service maintenance * Complete all related documentation in compliance with site and regulatory rules and guidelines * Deliver delegated engineering tasks in compliance with good engineering practice and all regulatory, statutory, and corporate requirements * Assist engineering support team in updating Utilities Standard Operating Procedures and ensure training is carried out with Operations Teams **Requirements:** * Senior Trades, City & Guilds, or equivalent in electrical engineering * Minimum 2 years' experience post-qualification in industrial utilities, preferably in pharmaceuticals * Good initiative and pro-active attitude in approach to duties * Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks; must be detail-oriented and self-motivated * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to accurately document work performed **Essential Skills:** * Maintenance and operational experience of pumps, HVAC Systems, Compressors, Boilers, steam systems, and ancillary services * Good understanding of Preventive Maintenance Systems * Experience with and understanding of PLC and SCADA control systems * Work within a Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order system environment * Ability to read and understand P&ID's * Understanding of SOP's and GMP Engineering systems **Desirable Skills:** * Experience of working on a 24/7 production site * Ability to work in a team atmosphere, with the ability to recognize and facilitate conflicts through to resolution * Possess the highest level of attention to detail and expect this of others * Effectively communicate with all levels within Veolia and Client team as necessary * Approach problem-solving in a logical and systematic way * Have the courage of conviction to make decisions when required
