Job Description

Description: We are now seeking an Electrical Supervisor in the /Leinster area. The role will require strong technical skills and communication and interaction with managers, engineers, internal and external team members, suppliers and clients. Roles and Responsibilities; Coordinate and supervise the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution, in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards. Manage a team of electricians and subcontractors, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance and support as needed. Plan and schedule work activities, including material procurement, resource allocation, and workflow coordination, to ensure project milestones are met. Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Collaborate with other trade supervisors and project stakeholders to coordinate work sequences, resolve conflicts, and ensure smooth project execution. Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times, promoting a culture of safety among team members. Provide technical expertise and support to team members, including interpreting drawings, troubleshooting electrical systems, and implementing best practices. Maintain accurate records of work activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and material inventory.. Input into method statements, risk assessments and commissioning schedules. Skills / Attributes; Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within the construction or electrical engineering industry. Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations, with the ability to interpret drawings and specifications accurately. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals. Proficiency in managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices, with a commitment to promoting a safe working environment. Relevant trade qualifications or certifications, such as an Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent, preferred. Knowledge of Water and Wastewater treatment industry preferable Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft office. Be able to read and redline Electrical drawings and Schematics. Excellent understanding of current Electrical Regulations and Standards. Be able to read drawings including P&ID's and layout drawings. Ability to present information in a timely and organized fashion for the Commercial and Project Directors. Project Engineering / Site management / M&E Installation, Personnel management and any Water &/or Waste Water industry experience will be an advantage. Education Requirements; One of the following will be essential Relevant Electrical trade qualifications or equivalent or Engineering qualification, Project management qualification Qualified PSCS would be a distinct advantage but training will be provided for suitable candidate Remuneration: Salary negotiable based on Experience, Company Vehicle, Phone, Laptop.
