What you need to know

Our Westmeath based client who is a leading Construction materials manufacturing company is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join their team.

Reporting to the Electrical manager, you will be a key figure in the day-to-day management of the Electrical Technician team in projects oriented to Electrical and instrumentation work.

Please note that this is a permanent position on a Monday to Friday daytime basis. The working hours are 8-4:30.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Supervising contract staff, ensuring all safety systems and procedures are followed.
2. Getting involved in the assessment, budgeting, and delivery of current and upcoming electrical projects.
3. Supervising electrical staff to ensure that project work meets expected goals.
4. Managing the Technician team in areas of workload, schedules, working hours, and annual leave.
5. Liaising cross-functionally regarding project design and execution stages.
6. Involved in the training of staff regarding upcoming projects and new equipment.
7. Overseeing and developing the electrical documentation and drawings system with respect to all new projects.

What are we looking for?

1. Qualified Electrician
2. Previous Electrical Supervisory/Lead experience in a Manufacturing environment
3. Ability and exposure to plant-oriented projects
4. Ability to give direction and leadership
5. Strong communicator and able to work well cross-functionally
