**Electrical Utilities Technician** **Job Summary:** Electrical Utilities Technician required to work in a pharmaceutical company, responsible for maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with GMP practices and safety standards. **Responsibilities:** * Work as part of the utilities team to plan and schedule maintenance activities in line with maintenance and process schedules * Assist in commissioning activities, project support, and equipment vendor maintenance * Manage and support service or equipment vendors when undertaking maintenance activities * Liaise with discipline leads to coordinate activities for efficient execution of maintenance activities * Ensure all PTW and mechanical isolations are in place to perform maintenance works related to mechanical utilities * Develop cost-saving and energy reduction initiatives on utilities systems * Update GMP maintenance documents and drawings to reflect any changes required and to improve operation of maintenance activities * Conduct corrective and preventative maintenance on all operational equipment * Proactively problem-solve to ensure that operational issues are solved permanently * Ensure corrective action is taken, as required, for all equipment and operational problems to drive continuous improvement in the plant * Plan and develop maintenance plans where required * Operate and maintain utility systems * Respond to any request from operations for utility-related issues **Requirements:** * Apprenticeship or 3rd Level qualification with Mechanical Experience or electrical experience * Minimum of 3 years' experience in Mechanical / electrical utilities or process maintenance * Must have experience working within the Pharmaceutical or Biologics industry * Strong practical Mechanical knowledge * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills * Good interpersonal skills and a self-starter * Execution of mechanical/electrical preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on production systems and equipment * Supporting both the electrical and calibration departments within the production area * Follow all relevant SOP's and procedures when completing maintenance tasks * Ensure all works executed are recorded on the relevant CMMS systems * Acute awareness of GMP practices * Ability to read mechanical drawings and system P&ID's * Maintain all documentation in an organized and controlled manner, in compliance with client procedures * Attend daily meeting and provide status updates * Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills, which pose no risk to health and provide no potential risk to any systems * Demonstrate ownership and show initiative to resolve issues in a timely manner in a high-paced, schedule-driven environment * Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices, to ensure compatibility and safety of system * Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and to ensure compliance with codes * Must have a working knowledge of pump rebuilds, bearing and seal changes, etc * Ability to read mechanical drawings and P&ID's * An ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and the ability to remain calm and focused when dealing with multiple tasks * Literacy in computer operating systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Power Point etc * Possess excellent communication/documentation and interpersonal skills * Flexibility and accountability * Understanding of instrumentation and associated control systems
