Job Description

Electrical/Mechanical Technician for a rapidly growing global healthcare services company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on automated equipment such as storage/retrieval systems, labelling equipment, conveyors, and HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, including PLC-controlled systems and pneumatic controls.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities, schedule repairs, and update maintenance management systems.
  • Support the production team in meeting performance targets, monitor equipment efficiency, and address performance issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers for installation, modification, and repairs of new systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and participate in regular safety audits.
  • Assist with new equipment commissioning and work closely with the validation team.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and ensure all tasks adhere to quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience in maintaining automated equipment and systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, especially with PLC programs.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices in a plant environment.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in resolving faults.
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
