Are you an electrician/electrical technician looking to break into the manufacturing sector? Are you from a domestic electrician background looking to start your career in production? YOUR NEW COMPANY My client is a well established and growing multi-national Cork based manufacturing company who specialises in manufacturing products used by multi-billion dollar clients with large data centres such as Meta etc. The company pride themselves on the reliability and quality of their products and aftercare service provided to their customers who tend be blue chip multinational tech companies who apply my clients environmentally sustainable technology and products in critical applications. Currently employing 140 staff across their two Cork plants they are currently recruiting for junior/assistant/apprentice electricians for their Cork plant (10 kms south of Cork City). YOUR NEW ELECTRICIAN JOB My client's plant is not your typical manufacturing assembly line operation and is more of a workshop type of set up which means this role offers a lot more variety than your typical electrician role in a manufacturing site. Day to day some of your key responsibilities in the electrician job will include: Cable Tray & Containment Installation Cable Pulling & Terminating Earthing Systems Glanding & Terminating Installing & Terminating electrical equipment (sensors, actuators, light bulkhead) WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY FOR THIS ELECTRICIAN JOB You would be joining a diverse team of 15 electrical technicians who get on very well together and have developed a really nice atmosphere within the team where people look out for each other and pull together to get the job done. THIS IS A DAYS MON-FRI ELECTRICIAN ROLE paying 18e/hr/€36k with an on-site canteen starting on 20 days holidays (rising to 22) along with life assurance, income protection and pension after you pass your 6 months' probation along with an annual pay review. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU The company are very open to taking people on who may have only partially completed their apprenticeship, who are from outside of Ireland and have different electrical qualifications or who have mainly worked on domestic electrical projects and don't yet have commercial/manufacturing experience. What you do need is a strong electrical background and the ability to take your transferable electrical experience and qualifications and apply them to a workshop type of environment.
