Job Description
Electrician role requires maintaining compost equipment on a 25-acre site, ensuring health and safety standards, and performing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with company rules and regulations.
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs to heavy-duty systems, including PLC-controlled compost blending and conveying systems.
- Monitor performance and work independently to resolve issues.
- Ensure preventative maintenance is carried out efficiently and safely.
- Document maintenance activities and update management on progress.
- Support production team in achieving targets and oversee third-party contractors.
- Participate in training and development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with good communication skills and proficient English.
- High level of technical ability and computer literacy.
- Flexibility in working hours and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Trades Qualified Electrician with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a maintenance environment, preferably in food/agri/heavy plant.
- Full driving license.
